We are seeking an accountant ideally with investment fund experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial reporting and administration of a number of small Australian companies and a small number of wholesale investment funds. Typically they may be responsible for 10-15 small entities at any time, none of which have a large volume of transactions, but each of which have slightly different accounting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Administration:

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for multiple investment funds in Xero
• Prepare and review monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
• Reconcile investment transactions, cash balances, and investment positions with external parties and software systems
• Ensure all financial data is recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with trust structures
• familiarity with Managed Investment Schemes (MIS)

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare financial statements, investor reports, and other ASIC regulatory filings.
• Assist with the preparation and review of annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Generate and performance reports and financial summaries for investors.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant ASIC and ATO regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard fund assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.

Investments:

• Assist with the onboarding of new investors and the processing of subscriptions and redemptions.
• Reconciliation of bank accountseneral accounting tasks and financial records.
